How to Tame your Inner Critic
31st January 2020
Can you be really hard on yourself at times?
Does it tend to get worse in times of stress?
Would you like to have a better understanding of why this happens and how to change it?
Harsh self criticism can have detrimental consequences to our health, productivity and level of happiness. In relation to how we work, a loud inner critic can cause us to feel demotivated, anxious, confused and stressed, and also make us more risk averse.
What we need is to develop an inner ally, a stable force within us to support, encourage and motivate us, which will positively impact on our wellbeing and in turn the wellbeing of our business.
This workshop will give you an insight into how you can better relate to yourself enabling you to make changes which will benefit you, those around you and the way you work.
14th February 2020
Can you be guilty of overanalysing things resulting in you feeling stuck and confused?
Does excessive thinking about an idea often prevent you from taking action?
Do you just simply wish you could think less and do more?
If you’re an overthinker then you’ll have personal experience of the saying ‘paralysis by analysis.’ We can literally be stopped in our tracks when presented with a choice of which action to take. The undercurrent of it all is fear and the feeling that we need to be in control of everything. Getting it wrong is not an option.
Overthinking can prevent us from being our most creative selves. It sucks the joy out of our personal and professional lives, and stops us being as effective as we have the potential to be.
This workshop will shine a light on overthinking and the negative impact it can have on our lives and how we can change it so that we work consistently and achieve results.
The Gifts of the Present Moment
28th February 2020
Do you worry a lot about the future and how you’re going to get it all done?
Are your thoughts often focused on the ‘what could have beens’ and ‘what ifs’?
Do you feel like you could benefit from some techniques on how to be more present?
Living in the present is a skill – one that is often underestimated but one that is certainly worth developing. It can have an immense impact on your level of job satisfaction and your happiness in general. But for many of us the present moment can be elusive. We live in a world that encourages us to think ahead and we can often lose ourselves ruminating about the past.
They say our brightest future hinges on our ability to live in the present, and one of the tools that can help us to do this is mindfulness.
This workshop will give a simple introduction to mindfulness, and also explore two other related concepts, acceptance and patience. All of this will help you to enjoy some of the rewards of living more fully in the present.
13th March 2020
Do life’s knocks get you down?
Is it sometimes hard to maintain a positive mindset amidst challenging times?
Do you wish that disappointments didn’t hold you back so much?
There’s no denying it experiencing adversity is not easy for anyone. But we have a choice as to how we react to it. Do we let it get us down or do we step back and try and learn lessons from it?
With the right mindset we can motivate ourselves to achieve our goals – both personal and professional.
This workshop will look at some key ideas around resilience and why pain can be one of our greatest teachers. We’ll go on to explore thow becoming more resilient can help us in our life and work.
The Power of Visualisation
20th March 2020
Is that element of inspiration lacking in your life right now?
Do you have an important life goal that you want to achieve?
Have you lost your direction in a certain area of your life?
Just as with living life in the present moment, the power of visualisation is often underestimated. Many top level professionals, including world-class athletes utilise visualisation to help them to achieve their goals. The beauty is that visualisation is a free tool available to us all.
Visualisation is an art which requires dedicated practice and imagination. The brain is unable to distinguish between reality and fantasy, which is why, when we incorporate strong emotion into our visualisations, they can be incredibly powerful.
This workshop will introduce the key elements of effective visualisations. It will also look at why practising them regularly can help us to become more confident, productive and resilient.
